Lake Erie’s trophy smallmouth bass seaosn is only 85 days away

If you love catching small mouth bass on Lake Erie as much as I love taking people fishing for them, then the wait is getting shorter. As of today there are only 85 days to go to opening day on Lake Erie near Buffalo New York.

My new Lund 2075 with a big bad Mercury Verado Pro 250 on the back, arrived last week at Anchor Marine, on Grand Island NY. I haven’t fished from a Lund since 2003 and I am very excited and proud to once again be a member of their fine Pro Staff. The same goes for being on Mercury’s Pro Staff for my 11th season and running a Verado is like driving a car on the water. Its not only fast but super quiet and great on fuel. This is the first year I will be adding Optima dry cell batteries to my boat. I am tired of constantly worrying if my trolling motor will last the day on regular deep cycle batteries. I rig everything myself on my boat so I know where every nut, bolt, screw and wire connection is in case of a break down. I highly recommend it to anyone who owns and runs a boat as much as I do. Even if you are not handy with tools etc, ask your boat dealer to show you were everything is…just in case!  I will be adding my humminbird 898 and Terrova trolling motor very soon. No boat that is used as much as mine is should be without Smooth Move Seats on board. They will save your back from some serious shock and possible injury. I will be back soon with more updates on gettin’ er done for Lake Erie trophy smallmouth season 2013!!
