First day of Spring?

Posted on March 20th, 2013 by Captain Jim

What a difference a year makes in weather here in Western New York. Last year for the first day of spring, we enjoyed an 82 degree day and boaters were out on Lake Erie earlier then I can ever remember. Today being the first day of spring we are experiencing temps in the high 20’s and the threat of a few inches of snow. My brand new Lund 2075 with a Mercury Verado 250 Pro, is sitting in the dealers showroom waiting to be picked up and loaded with all the baits and tackle needed for 2013. Living on Lake Erie presents the best small mouth and walleye fishing anywhere but it also creates that unpredictable Lake effect weather that we all know and hate….hurry spring, Please!!  If you are stuck in the same situation I am and want to watch some good videos on fishing for small mouth bass and walleye on Lake Erie, go to my web site at www.northeastoutdoors.com and click on the videos tab. Hopefully it will take some of your “winter blues” go away.
